This Cookie Policy explains how CalmLens Ltd (company number 17518409) ("we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on calmlens.com and the CalmLens portal.

The Cookie Manager above lists every cookie CalmLens sets directly and the third-party cookies that can be set on our pages, with each cookie's provider, purpose, category and duration, and lets you change your choice.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. They can keep a user signed in, remember preferences, support payments, prevent abuse and help a service operate securely. Similar technologies include browser storage, pixels, scripts and device identifiers. This policy covers those technologies where they serve a similar purpose.

2. Categories we use

  • Essential cookies are strictly necessary to keep you signed in, protect the site, give authorised staff access while the site is in maintenance or waitlist mode or when providing support, lay pages out for your screen, and remember your cookie choice. The site cannot provide those functions without them, so they do not require consent.
  • Functional cookies remember choices such as your selected project, dashboard view, asset view and portal sidebar width, and allow Google One Tap sign-in. We only set them if you allow functional cookies.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies for targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow functional cookies. Accept all allows essential and functional cookies; Essential only allows essential cookies only. Both choices are equally easy to make, and nothing optional is switched on until you choose it. Until you choose, we only use essential cookies, and preferences you set in the portal are kept only until you reload or leave the page.

We store your choice in the essential cookie CL_acceptedCookiesVersion for one year. When we change the cookies we use, we will ask again. You can change your choice at any time in the Cookie Manager on this page. If you turn functional cookies off, we delete the functional cookies already stored by CalmLens, and the features they support fall back to defaults.

4. Third-party technologies

Some providers may set or access cookies or similar device information when their feature is used:

  • Google shows the One Tap sign-in prompt only if you allow functional cookies. One Tap loads Google's script and can set the g_state cookie to remember whether you dismissed the prompt. Signing in with the regular Google button works whichever choice you make.
  • Firebase and other sign-in providers may use temporary browser storage or other technology when you choose to sign in through them.
  • Stripe hosts our checkout and billing pages. Subscribing takes you to Stripe's own pages, where Stripe sets its own cookies (for example to process payments and prevent fraud) under its own cookie policy. Stripe does not set cookies on our pages.
  • Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security or challenge technology to protect the site and verify legitimate traffic.

Those providers process information under their own privacy notices as well as their agreements with us. A provider may operate from another country; see our Privacy Policy for more about service providers and international transfers.
